Looking for a fun day trip to learn more about Texas history and beer? Come to Bluff SchuetzenFest on May 20 in La Grange! Celebrate the history of the Bluff Schuetzenverein, a German marksmanship and social organization which once made its home on the Bluff. The free family festival begins at 11 a.m. and features community booths, guided tours, living history programs, classes and demonstrations, a laser shooting gallery, festival games and more. Within the festival grounds is the Texas History on Tap Beer Garden, open 1–7 p.m. Ticketed guests can taste the Texas brewing legacy of Heinrich Kreische and meet the teams behind 15 of their favorite modern craft breweries from around the state. Sit back, try a few new beer selections, enjoy the live music, and have a great time!
