We had a blast last year, so we’re doing it again! Mark your calendars for June 9 and 10.
The first Fredericksburg Craft Beer Festival went off great and we hope you will join us for an even bigger and better event this year. The Texas craft beer scene has grown steadily in popularity over the past decade, with great breweries popping up. Texas beer lovers, no matter if they enjoy a porter, bock, pilsner, kolsch, lager or ale, are sure to find a new favorite beer at our festival.
This year’s event will be held June 9 (Texas Craft Beer Competition awards dinner at Altstadt Brewery, advance tickets only) and June 10 (the festival) at Marktplatz from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The sponsoring organization is the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg, and the fest will be handing out awards for a variety of brewing styles at the awards dinner Friday. The awards dinner will be held at Altstadt Brewery, one of the festival’s lead sponsors, and their fantastic staff will serve up delicious food and treat attendees to tours of the brewery.
Twenty-plus Texas craft breweries will join us at the festival Saturday. Crowds can enjoy tastes or a can of beer or cider from an assortment of award-winning Texas craft breweries represented on Fredericksburg’s historic town square, Marktplatz. Ticket holders also can enjoy our Suds & Tastes Tent featuring local chef-prepared foods paired with Texas craft beers, plus a great variety of music, Texas wines, games for your enjoyment and dancing! This year our musical line-up includes El Tule, Drugstore Cowboys and the Alex Meixner Band. We anticipate the dance floor being packed.
Tickets for the awards ceremony on Friday will be sold in advance only and are $150 per person, which includes admission to Saturday’s festival. General admission to the festival on Saturday is $20 per person and can be purchased in advance on the website or at the gate on the day of the festival.
