Interested in Serving on Medina EC’s Board of Directors?

Make plans to attend your District Nominating Meeting or run by petition

Members who wish to run for a position on the Medina Electric Cooperative Board of Directors should plan to attend the District Nominating Meeting for their voting district. If you are unable to attend your District Nominating Meeting and want to run, you must be nominated by another member at the meeting or use the petition process. Look for more information on the petition process in the March issue of Texas Co-op Power, or on MedinaEC.org/nommtg

District Nominating Meetings are being held as follows:

District 1
Tuesday, February 13, 6 p.m.
Braden Keller Community Center
1410 Amelia Street, Castroville

District 2
Wednesday, February 14, 6 p.m.
Sabinal Senior Citizen Center
210 West Rheiner Avenue, Sabinal

District 3
Thursday, February 15, 6 p.m.
Ernesto J. Salinas Community Center
917 North Main Avenue, Mirando City

Attending your District Nominating Meeting will give you a chance to win a cash prize! At each meeting, we will award one $100 prize.

The cooperative is governed by its board of directors, who are elected by the members. The board represents the interests of the membership. Board elections are held each September, and these meetings partly determine who is placed on that ballot.

The board is responsible for setting policies under which the cooperative operates and making decisions regarding the financial health and well-being of the cooperative.
