In August, Big Country Electric Cooperative members received letters with specific details about how upcoming rate changes would affect their accounts. Additionally, we offered an informational meeting in September to give members the opportunity to ask questions and review the new rates one-on-one with BCEC management and directors. The new rate structure takes effect November 1.
While no one likes to hear the words “rate change,” we hope it’s clear from our previous communications that the co-op’s board and management is focused on meeting the financial needs of the cooperative while minimizing the pinch on our members’ wallets.
