Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HILCO Electric Cooperative will hold a nontraditional “drive-in” annual meeting Thursday, September 24.
The “drive-in” meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the HILCO Civic & Event Center. Members will be directed by HILCO employees to spaces throughout the parking lot. After parking your car, you will be asked to place your completed ballot into a secured ballot box. The annual meeting will then be broadcast via FM radio, which you can listen to on your car’s radio. Further instructions will be given on the day of the meeting. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. sharp, with entrances closed immediately after that time, so please plan to arrive prior to 6 p.m. to be ready for the meeting’s start.
A meal will not be served this year, but all members casting a ballot will be entered into a drawing that will be held at a later date. The drawing will include a variety of fabulous prizes, with a grand prize of a 55-inch TV.
This year’s annual meeting, like all annual meetings, is critically important to the co-op and our membership. Members who are unable to attend are asked to mail their ballots in time to be received by noon September 23 at the election post office box.
