MVEC Connect

MVEC Connect is coming in April, and it’s bringing big changes that require your attention

  1. If you are accustomed to paying your bill online at magicvalley.coop, on April 20, 2020, the email address that we have on file for your MVEC account will become your new username.
  2. On April 20, 2020, the current MVEC mobile app will be discontinued; you will need to download the new MVEC Connect mobile app from the App Store or Google Play store.
  3. If your account is set up on an automatic bank draft credit/debit card, on April 20, 2020, you will need to login to magicvalley.coop, as usual, and sign up for a new AutoPay option to continue to take advantage of this feature and avoid missing an automatic payment.
  4. If you receive your monthly bill after April 20, 2020, you will receive a new bill format. If you enjoy the convenience of making a payment or calling us through our call center at 866-225-5683, on April 20, 2020, you will experience a new interactive voice response system menu.

MVEC Connect FAQ

1. Will I need a new username to access my account? Yes. On April 20th in order to login to view your MVEC account information on magicvalley.coop, you will need a new username. The email address that we have on file for your MVEC account will become your new username.

2. I don’t remember the email address I have on file for my MVEC account. If you don’t remember the email address you have on file for your MVEC account, login to your MVEC account before April 20th with your current login credentials. Once you login, click on “Profile” option, then click on the “Accounts” option to view the email address on file. If you decide to update the email address on file, make sure you update the information by April 14th.

3. How do I update the email address on file for my MVEC account? If you want to update your email address on your MVEC account, login to your MVEC account before April 20th , with your current login credentials. Once you login, click on “Profile” option then click on “Accounts” option to update the email address on file. Please make sure you update your account information by April 15th.

4. I don’t have an email address; will I be able to access the MVEC Connect portal? No. In order to access the new enhanced features of the all-new MVEC Connect, we will need an email address on file in order to access your MVEC account. (Please see question 3 to update your email address information).

5. Will MVEC have a new bill format? Yes. If you receive your monthly bill after April 20th , you will receive the new bill format.

6. Will my due date change? No. Your current due date will remain the same; however, if you receive your monthly bill after April 20th, you will receive the new redesigned bill format.

7. I am currently on paperless billing; do I need to re-enroll? No. You will continue to receive a paperless bill on your email, the same way as you typically do.

8. Do I need to do anything if I am on automatic bank draft/credit/debit card? Yes. On April 20th, you will need to login to your new MVEC Connect account and sign up for the AutoPay option to continue to take advantage of this feature and avoid missing an automatic payment. Please be assured that we are taking this step to protect the security of your bank information.

9. Can I fill out an automatic bank draft/credit/debit card form in advance to avoid missing paying my bill? No. In order to protect the security of your bank information, on April 20th, you will need to login to your new MVEC Connect account and sign up for the AutoPay option to continue to take advantage of this feature and avoid missing an automatic payment.

10. How will this affect me if I am on the EZPrepaid energy plan? If you are on the EZPrepaid energy plan, MVEC will automatically transition your account to the MVEC Connect system. However, in order to make a payment online or through the MVEC Connect app, you will need the new username credentials. (Please see question 1 and question 11).

11. I currently have the MVEC mobile app, do I need to download a new mobile app? Yes. On April 20th, the current MVEC’s mobile app will be discontinued; you will need to download the new MVEC Connect mobile app from the App Store or Google Play to continue to enjoy this convenience. The new MVEC Connect app will have new features that include: a detailed look at your past and current energy use, view a copy of your current bill, report and view outages and pay your bill.
