Cool Water [Currents, August 2026] was made famous by the Sons of the Pioneers, of which Roy Rogers was the original leader. Dale Evans was not.
The songwriter, Bob Nolan, was one of the group’s original members. He penned it in 1936, and Rogers’ band recorded it in 1941.

It’s About Time [August 2026] is classic W.F. Strong writing. Without looking at the author’s name, I knew who wrote the lazy, quiet story after the first paragraph. I heard him read it in my head.
Mr. Strong is a Texas treasure like Terlingua or J. Frank Dobie. Thanks for including the QR code so we can hear that sonorous voice read about cowboy time on a quiet Sunday morning. It touched my Texas soul.
