There is no denying the impact nurses have on the people they care for. When our loved ones are hospitalized, when our kids have an ache or pain at school, when we need extra care as we age, it is kind nurses who step in as our heroes and help us.
National Nurse Week is May 6-12. Take the time that week to let a nurse in your life know how much you appreciate them.

Devine Wesley Nurse, Methodist Healthcare Ministries
“While her job is to help the underserved in our community, she takes it to the next level. She has helped bridge the gap between Devine and Hondo … She is considered the ‘Bread Fairy,’ ensuring that no needed food goes to waste in our county. Georjean also works with the Medina County Indigent Care Coordinator and the South Texas Rural Healthcare Nurse Practitioner to ensure that all Medina County residents receive the best health care possible despite any disparities they may be facing. Her diligence helps not only the residents of Devine (her work area) but also the Senior Nutrition Center and the County’s Women’s Shelter, as well. Her passion for serving the underserved with God’s grace is above and beyond. She also is a part of the Medina County Community Emergency Response Team and works as part of Medina County’s point of distribution team. She really enjoys her job and volunteering. Helping others is not just the right thing to do; she views it as the Godly thing to do.”
