Texas Co-op Power is the magazine of Texas’ electric cooperatives. Delivered to more than 1.6 million mailboxes each month, TCP entertains, enlightens and enriches co-op members’ lives. The editorial team is actively soliciting story pitches from emerging and established writers.
What We Are Looking For
- Stories about Texas places, history, travel, culture and people. We have a particular interest in rural and suburban areas served by electric cooperatives.
- Stories should establish a connection to an electric cooperative if possible. Our stories reflect cooperative values such as concern for the community and working for economic development.
What We’re Not Interested In
- Previously published works, fiction, poetry and marketing.
- Subjects that have been covered in Texas Co-op Power feature stories in the past seven years.
What to Send
Strengthen your pitch by reading previous issues of the magazine, providing background on potential sources for the story you are pitching and including up to three previously published clips. We pay highly competitive rates.
