While not a surprise, it is with great sadness that Big Country Electric Cooperative announces that Youth Tour, originally scheduled for June, has been canceled by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association due to COVID-19 concerns.
BCEC’s 2020 Youth Tour winners are Braelyn Bevel of Haskell, Kendra Bynum of Snyder and Luke Thane of Stamford.
Bevel and Bynum are graduating seniors. Although it is disappointing that they won’t be able to go on the trip to Washington, D.C., both will still receive scholarships—which have been increased in amount. Thane, who is a junior, will be able to attend Youth Tour in 2021.
