Nestled just outside of Montgomery, P-6 Farms is an autumn oasis that delights even the most enthusiastic of fall fanatics. Owned and operated by the Poole family, the farm is celebrating its 11th year of fall festivals. But there’s a new amenity this year: blazing-fast internet from MidSouth Fiber.
“We are so excited to have fiber versus regular internet,” Carey Poole said. “We are out of the city limits, so our coverage has always been limited. We are looking forward to running all of our transactions with no issues and having more options for our business.”
P-6 Farms attracted more than 40,000 visitors in 2020 and added new attractions for 2021, including mini horse races and a tractor graveyard that draws inspiration from Cadillac Ranch. So MidSouth Fiber’s internet speeds will be vital when it comes to ticket sales and staffing.
“We employ over 75 employees each year at the farm, and over half of them return year after year,” said manager Amy Smith. “MidSouth Fiber internet will help streamline the process of our employees clocking in and out each day and help us manage that much better.”
P-6 Farms offers activities and fall photos ops for all ages.
“What I love most about running the farm is the family atmosphere,” Poole said. “People get to leave the hustle and bustle and escape out here.”
One of the most popular and anticipated attractions at the farm is the themed corn maze. This year’s theme is especially meaningful to Poole’s daughter, Maddie.
“This year our corn maze design is very near and dear to our heart. It is dedicated to my grandmother, who battled cancer, and my cousin, who is currently battling cancer, and it is my favorite design we have ever done,” Maddie Poole said. “I hope it reaches other families as it has for us.”
