The annual meeting of the membership of Big Country Electric Cooperative will be held virtually September 16 at bigcountry.coop in accordance with Article V, Meetings of Members, of the cooperative’s bylaws. The annual report, video and director election results will be posted by 10 a.m.
The annual meeting of the members of the above cooperative will include reports to the membership on the following:
- The reports of officers, directors and committees.
- The election of two directors of the cooperative.
The following members of the cooperative have been selected to appear on the ballot for the respective districts by the committee on nominations appointed by the board of directors of the cooperative or as nominees by petition, pursuant to the bylaws:

Nominees by petition require 25 members’ signatures and must be submitted to the cooperative not less than 20 days prior to the meeting.
As of press time, no additional nominations by petition have been received. Each member is entitled to cast one ballot using one of the following methods:
- Mail-in ballot enclosed
- Online
- SmartHub app
Mail-in ballots must be received by September 12, which is the same deadline for votes cast online and through SmartHub. Please read instructions on enclosed printed ballot carefully regardless of voting method. Votes received by mail after the deadline will be invalid.
Electronic voting will be disabled after deadline. Ballots cannot be accepted at BCEC offices.
Each registered member who votes will receive a $15 energy credit.
