Medina EC’s community empowerment grant program selected the Charlotte Public Library as a 2021 fund recipient. The library used the grant of $1,000 to install two Little Free Libraries in the community and fill them with books.
The little libraries are being enjoyed by the community, according to librarian Marianne McGinnis. “As the librarian, I am very grateful that the library was awarded the grant, improving the quality and quantity of this service towards education, recreational reading, and the ability to have access to books near the homes of the community.”
Here are some locations that are affiliated with Little Free Libraries in our service area. You can view full location details at LittleFreeLibrary.org. There may be other free libraries around; see about having them added to the website so others can find them. Visit these to grab or share some books!
