Make plans to join us for the Sam Houston Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting of Members on June 9. Attending the annual meeting is a great way to get involved with your Cooperative.
Doors will open at noon for registration, and the meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Polk County Commerce Center in Livingston, 1017 North 59 Loop. Shuttles will be available to transport attendees from the parking area to the facility and back to their cars following the meeting.
Consumer-members who attend the meeting will be able to visit with other members and interact with the Sam Houston EC board of directors and employees.
There will be entertainment and a door prize drawing for those in attendance. Cooperative management will report on Co-op business, including the results of the board of directors election winners.
Instead of requiring members to vote for board candidates in person at the annual meeting, Sam Houston EC’s bylaws allow members to vote prior to the meeting.
Be on the lookout next month for your election ballot, giving you the chance to vote either online or by mail. Sign up for a mySamHouston account to receive an email reminder to vote. Members who return their ballot by the early-bird deadline of June 2 will be eligible to win the grand prize.
