This recipe was featured in Good Morning, Mom!.
1 pound lean sausage, fried, drained and crumbled
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 ounces green chilies
1 cup grated cheese
1 package (18 ounces) crescent rolls
Mix sausage, cream cheese, chilies and cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator at least 30 minutes before using. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Open crescent rolls and arrange into rectangle. Place sausage mixture in middle of dough. Slit dough into fringes, about 1/2 inch thick. Fold over sausage mixture in a crisscross pattern. Fold up ends. Bake 20 minutes or until browned.
Servings: 8. Serving size: 1 slice. Per serving: 333 calories, 13.8 g protein, 29.4 g fat, 3.2 g carbohydrates, 1 g dietary fiber, 633 mg sodium, 1.9 g sugars, 86 mg cholesterol
