Work is continuing around Palestine and the southern portion of the Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative service territory as crews from Davey Resource Group work to map each pole and piece of equipment on the TVEC system.
When completed in late 2021, the project will allow TVEC engineers, lineworkers and dispatchers to take full advantage of technology tools for speeding up outage response, increasing system reliability and planning future growth.
The inventory involves physically assessing each pole and piece of equipment on the system. That means that at some point over the next year, you are likely to see representatives of DRG and TVEC along electrical rights-of-way in your area.
In many areas, they may be utilizing all-terrain vehicles to access lines away from roadways, and they will need access to TVEC equipment on members’ properties.
