The Summer of Barbecue Trail

It’s no secret that most Texans love good barbecue. So when the idea came up to put together a trail of barbecue stops in our area, MidSouth Electric Co-op’s employees were quick to share their favorites. Some of them are known to many and others are well-kept community secrets, but we are sure this list of local barbecue restaurants and food trucks will hit the spot! Don’t just take our word for it; take a drive.

We had the chance to visit with Greg at Mallet Brothers Barbeque, Nick at Smoke Daddies and Bennie at Bennie J’s Smoke Pit, and we hope you get the chance to visit with them, too. These local business owners take pride in their craft and are happy to help feed their communities.
