An Update on MidSouth Fiber Internet

Work continues to expand system and adopt advanced technology

MidSouth Fiber Internet is your local internet provider, founded on the cooperative principles of commitment to community, service and people. We continue to advance our service based on the needs of our local communities, so in recent months, MidSouth Fiber has expanded into new territories, added higher speeds and implemented a veteran’s discount.

Expanding Beyond Electric Members

Beyond MidSouth Electric Cooperative’s service territory, the need for reliable, fast internet is necessary to promote economic growth in our area. MidSouth Fiber is now available to non-members in Iola, Madisonville, Navasota and Richards.

Now Offering 5 GB Speeds

MidSouth Fiber continues to adopt advanced technology to best serve subscribers. We now offer speeds up to 5 gigabits per second. Whether a residence or business, there’s a package that fits all needs.

Honoring Our Veterans

We are grateful for the sacrifices our local veterans made to serve this great country. In that spirit, veterans can receive 1 GB internet for $64.95 per month. If you’re a veteran and would like to take advantage of this discount, call (936) 825-5100 to learn more.

Service With Subscribers in Mind

Carroll Fox switched to MidSouth Fiber in 2024.

“The ease of transitioning providers and the customer service has made a difference—hands down,” Fox says. “When I called customer service for the first time, I was surprised to be speaking with another Texan. I could tell they lived around here, and it meant something to be talking with a local, rather than a call center hundreds of miles away.”

Benefits of being a fiber subscriber don’t stop at local service and high-quality internet. Subscribers receive 24/7 support and repair, free network security, an app to control devices and, best of all, no contracts for residential subscribers.

“We offer the same quality internet as the big guys, but we also provide local service, which matters—not just in customer support but as a whole,” says William Graves, fiber network operations manager. “We consistently try to provide options and features most beneficial to the people in our communities.”

Founded by the co-op, MidSouth Fiber is proud to serve you. Every month, readers can learn about online safety practices, managing mental health and more by visiting midsouthfiber.com/blog or reading articles right here in Texas Co-op Power.

MidSouth Fiber Internet connected its first subscriber in June 2020. Beginning as a project to enhance electric system technology, MidSouth Fiber has grown into a reliable, high-quality internet provider you know and trust.
