As cooler temperatures move in (during the morning at least), and the smell of nutmeg and cinnamon graces the homes of many, centuries-old traditions of harvest and gratitude unfold as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving.
MidSouth is sincerely thankful as we reflect on the symbolic harvest that has taken place over the past 85 years.
When our founding members came together in 1940, their mission was simple: Bring power to rural homes and farms to keep our community strong. That mission came to fruition and continues to ignite the traditions in our homes we love dearly. From warming our turkeys and reaping fall harvests to keeping the lights on to bake that last pumpkin pie, electricity has been a staple in creating the seasonal memories many of us treasure.
This season, we are deeply thankful for our co-op members— the individuals and families who make our community feel like home. Thank you for supporting local businesses, participating in the annual food drive, keeping our communities safe and pouring into our youth.
Moreover, MidSouth always appreciates your patience and consideration when restoring power during storms and challenging situations.
MidSouth is grateful for your expressed gratitude. Over the years, members have shared heartfelt words of appreciation in hand-written letters, personal conversations and online. Those sentiments remind us what we do is more than electricity; it is about people caring for people.
As we continue to celebrate 85 years of service, we give thanks to you. Just as a successful harvest depends on strong roots and steady growth, our cooperative depends on the rooted connection and the growth we share with you.
