Jennifer Sessions | Cherokee County EC

This refreshing combination “is my go-to recipe for our family reunions and outdoor summer church gatherings,” Sessions says. “It is a hit each time.” She says the fresh lemon juice gives this sweet treat “a tiny twist of tang while helping preserve the freshness of the grapes.”

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons almond extract (or vanilla extract)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (or more to taste)
2 pounds green grapes, washed and dried
2 pounds red seedless grapes, washed and dried
3 tablespoons walnuts or pecans

1. Beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugars and almond (or vanilla) extract until blended.

2. Pour fresh lemon juice into the mixture. Add the grapes and nuts; toss to coat.

3. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover and refrigerate until serving time.

Serves 6–8.
