The Inside Out Foundation Donation

The Inside Out Foundation received $10,000 from South Plains Electric Cooperative and CoBank

The Inside Out Foundation received a cumulative donation of $10,000 from South Plains Electric Cooperative (SPEC) and CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries throughout rural America.

South Plains Electric Cooperative’s goal is to provide affordable and reliable electricity and to improve their members’ quality of life. SPEC abides by The Seven Cooperative Principles, and one principle is concern for community. The Cooperative gives back to many charities and organizations in the local communities they serve, it is part of the cooperative difference.

“South Plains Electric Cooperative was happy to partner with CoBank, and together, help make a difference in our members’ lives,” said General Manager Dale Ancell. “Our goal is to improve our members’ quality of life, and that reaches beyond providing them electricity. We will do all we can to help our members.”

Alexis Arnold, co-founder and executive director of The Inside Out Foundation, said, “We are absolutely humbled and extremely grateful to both South Plains Electric Cooperative and CoBank for making this donation possible. It is truly a privilege to live in this community, one which has such incredible partners willing to give back to residents in need. With these funds, The Inside Out Foundation will be able to provide many more products and services to our clients who really need them.”

South Plains Electric Cooperative’s donation was matched by CoBank through its Sharing Success program. Sharing Success was established in 2012 to celebrate the International Year of the Cooperative. Since the program’s inception, CoBank and its customers have together provided nearly $25 million in support to charitable organizations across the nation.

The Inside Out Foundation serves women in 64 counties surrounding Lubbock. Funds from this donation will be used to restore clients’ inner and outer beauty through aesthetic products and healing outreach services. Such clients include those affected by disease, abuse, burns and other traumatic events.

“Sharing Success has had a broader and deeper impact than we ever imagined,” said Tom Halverson, CoBank’s president and chief executive officer. “We are delighted with the growing participation in the program and are deeply grateful to customers like South Plains Electric Cooperative for their assistance in identifying worthy charitable causes deserving of our support. We look forward to continuing to partner on important initiatives like this one and to sharing our success in the best cooperative tradition.”
